System shock 2, deus ex and so on and so forth. ss2 is a great game, but it didnt have that impact half life 2 had. no game after it had that. maybe some games got close, but half life was way b4 its time, a truly great game, that was really next gen. we dont see that many good games today. The Charger, like the Suppressor, is a Half Life Alyx port that has been touched up a bit to fit the pacing of Inhuman’s combat. He moves a bit faster and doesn’t utilize the old energy shield, basically functioning as the one true “pressure” variant of Combine soldiers. While basically every other soldier prioritizes staying safe, the HL1's story beats, narrative structure and world building, while great for the time, are pretty few and far between. HL2 has a richer and more intriguing setting, along with a lot more incidental dialogue, more characters and a more complex narrative. RyAGP. The Good. Exciting and fast-paced action ride with some of the best Half-Life gameplay to date; New team dynamic is fun and a welcome change of pace from the traditional lone-wolf gameplay t5mll.
